 So basically I understand from this is that "Fashion is a manner or behavior of doing things and the way we implement things in our life.
The quote explains about expressing your identity, showing someone who you are through your fashion choices and using your clothes to tell someone something about you.

There's a line in the quote that "You are the canvas" which can be depicted that fashion is a form of language and can instantly change how a person feels about himself, in fact it is the ultimate source of Self Expression.
